Espressate began in 2022 as a form of healing.
What was once known as Café Con Leche, RDU is now Espressate, a luxury mobile espresso experience rooted in love, memory, and connection. Founder Iasia Montana started the business as a therapeutic hobby while navigating the sudden loss of her father. During one of the darkest seasons of her grief, the simple ritual of brewing café con leche became a lifeline.
As espresso filled her home with its warm, familiar aroma, Iasia felt her father’s presence as if he were standing right there beside her. That moment of comfort became the foundation of Espressate.
What started as a personal act of survival evolved into a calling. Long before Espressate existed, coffee was already a language of love in Iasia’s life. At just seven years old, her grandparents would serve her café con leche y pan every night before bed, a tender ritual rooted in care, presence, and family. Those moments became the blueprint for Espressate: creating spaces where people can pause, feel held, and experience the quiet power of a really good cup of coffee.

Founded in loving memory of Iasia’s father—who was Afro-Cuban—our mission is to honor his legacy by creating coffee experiences that bring people together with warmth and intention. Cuban coffee culture was deeply woven into Iasia’s family life and shaped her earliest understanding of care, ritual, and togetherness. Inspired by Cuban-American hospitality and the belief that coffee is meant to be shared, we focus on moments that feel human…not rushed, not transactional, but meaningful.
We aim to influence and inspire others to lead with empathy, presence, and care for one another. Espressate exists as a safe space—locally and globally—for those who may not always feel they have one. Through exceptional coffee, thoughtful service, and soulful storytelling, we strive to spread joy, unity, and belonging, one sip at a time.
