Good Grief, Coffee Helps

Welcome to the good grief coffee blog ❤️☕️
Some days call for celebration coffee. Other days call for survival coffee.
And sometimes, coffee is just the thing you hold onto when life feels heavier than expected.
Espressate was never just about espresso.
It started during one of the most tender seasons of my life — after losing my father.
Grief has a way of rearranging everything you thought you knew, and in the middle of that loss, the smell of coffee became grounding. Familiar. Comforting. A quiet reminder of love, memory, and connection.
What began as a therapeutic outlet slowly became Espressate — a mobile espresso experience rooted in care, warmth, and intentional moments. Not just for celebrations, but for real life. The messy parts too.
The Good Grief Coffee Blog exists for the days when:
• You’re showing up, but barely
• Joy feels muted
• You’re holding gratitude and sadness at the same time
• You just need a pause, a breath, or a reminder that you’re not alone
This is a space for stories — mine, yours, and ours. A place where grief and hope can coexist. Where kindness is never rushed and where coffee becomes a symbol of presence, not productivity.
If you’re here because you found Espressate through an event, a latte, or a quiet Google search — welcome. If you’re here because today feels heavy — I see you!
My hope is that this blog becomes:
• A soft landing place on hard days
• A reminder that community still exists
• A spark that leads to shared stories and connection
• The foundation for something bigger — like the Caffeine & Kindness Campaign, launching soon
You’re invited to read, reflect, and when you’re ready, share your story too.
Good grief, coffee helps; and so does being seen.
With care,
Iasia
